Plymouth Activities

Sunday Fellowship
After each service a coffee hour is provided for refreshments and Christian fellowship.

Third Sunday Lunch
Our Third Sunday Lunch is always a crowd-pleaser. The food is "out of this world" and the fun and fellowship is even better.

Summer Activities
Our summer activities include Ice Cream in the Park on Father's Day, annual church picnic at Pritchard Park in July, and various activities for the kids.

Fall Activities
Fall activities feature our Rally Day picnic, Cider in the Park and Halloween party. November gives us an opportunity to learn about our special connection with the Pilgrims as we celebrate Heritage Sunday. The "Hanging of the Greens" begins the process of decorating the church for Christmas.

December Activities
December favorites are our Christmas carol sing-a-long and Christmas Eve service.

The Prayer Chain
The Prayer Chain provides a quick-alert system via phone and e-mail when someone is in crisis. Hospital and nursing home visits by our pastor and members give extra attention to those that have special needs.

The Celebration Choir
The Celebratiion Choir not only enhances the quality of worship experience, but is fellowship in its own right.

The Plymouth Rock
The Plymouth Rock is a monthly publication apprising the congregation of activities, news, and devotional materials for spiritual growth.

Potluck Dinners
Numerous Potluck Dinners provide additional opportunities for fellowship.

Christian Education
At Plymouth, Christian Education begins at birth and children are cared for in our new, modern nursery by responsible adults. Church School classes start with three year-olds and continue through middle school. Our teachers use creative, Bible-based curriculum that allows for individual spiritual and intellectual growth. Christian Education continues for adults through ongoing short-term Bible studies.

Christian Outreach
Our local outreach includes: Taylor Avenue Food Pantry, H.A.L.O. (Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization), Respite Program (relief of caregivers), Saturday Sack Lunch for kids, and holiday dinners for the EHA (Elderly and home alone).

Our Goal
We strive to make our programs upbeat, relevant, accepting, stimulating and fun. We continue to add new and creative events while maintaining the favorites from the past.

About Plymouth Congregational Church
We have several handouts that explain what Plymouth is all about. Just e-mail us or phone us. We'd be happy to send you this information.

National/International Affiliations
In 1620, the Pilgrims came to America. We are direct descendants of those courageous people. Our denominational affiliation is with the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches. In addition to our local outreach programs, we support national and international programs through the NACCC Missionary Society.
